District Student Advisory Council
What is DSAC?
The District Student Advisory Council (DSAC) is a representative body made up of student leaders from each high school and middle school in School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay). DSAC serves as a vital connection between students, the Board of Education, and District Management.
Purpose and Role
DSAC provides a structured platform for students to:
Share feedback on district programs, operations, and policies
Highlight student needs, challenges, and ideas
Engage in meaningful dialogue with school district leaders
Through regular meetings, DSAC members help ensure that student voices are heard at the highest levels of decision-making within the district.
Who Are DSAC Members?
DSAC members are diverse student leaders who reflect the perspectives and experiences of their school communities. They are committed to making a positive impact and driving change on behalf of their peers.
